At The Remote Shop, we value your experience and want you to shop with complete confidence. We understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan — and that’s okay. Whether you’ve changed your mind, received the wrong item, or encountered a fault, our returns process is simple, fair, and hassle-free.

Changed Your Mind? No Problem!

If you’re not 100% happy with your order, you can return it within 30 days of receiving it for a store credit or exchange (excluding shipping costs).

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused
  • It must be in its original packaging
  • It must be in re-saleable condition

Simply contact our team and we’ll guide you through the process.


Damaged or Faulty Items

In the rare case your item arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us within 7 days of receiving your order.

We will, at our discretion:

  • Replace the item
  • Arrange a repair
  • Or provide a full refund

All at no cost to you.


12-Month Warranty

Every product sold by The Remote Shop is covered by a 12-month warranty under Australian Consumer Law.

If the product has:

  • A minor fault: We will repair or replace it
  • A major fault: You are entitled to a refund or replacement

Warranty coverage:

  • 12 months for personal/home use
  • 90 days for commercial or high-volume use

We proudly stand behind the quality and longevity of every remote we sell.


How Refunds, Store Credits & Exchanges Work

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, your request will be processed within 1–7 business days
  • Store credit is issued to your original email and valid for 12 months
  • Refunds for warranty claims are processed back to your original payment method
  • Exchanges are shipped to your original or nominated delivery address

What Can’t Be Returned?

We are unable to accept returns for:

  • Items that are used, marked, damaged, or programmed
  • Products returned without original packaging/accessories
  • Items returned outside the 30-day window
  • Custom/special orders unless faulty

How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at support@remoteshop.com.au
  2. Include your name, order number, and reason for return
  3. We’ll guide you through the next steps, including return address and options

Please do not send items back without contacting us first.


Shipping Costs for Returns

  • Change of mind returns: Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
  • Faulty/damaged items or warranty claims: We cover all return shipping costs
